What is the process to start a project with Olympic Kitchens?
A visit to our showroom is a great way to start. It allows us to review materials, door styles, and examples of our work while discussing your goals and budget. If you are busy or prefer to start remotely, you can also email us with your drawings and any inspiration images, and we will guide you through next steps from there. From concept to completion, we manage design coordination, shop drawings, production, and installation with a clear approvals process.
What do you need from me to provide pricing?
The best starting point is architectural drawings or a kitchen plan with basic dimensions, plus inspiration images and any known appliance selections. If you do not have drawings yet, we can still provide initial guidance, but accurate pricing requires a defined scope and measurements.
Do you offer budget ranges before detailed drawings?
Yes. We can provide a preliminary budget range from drawings or a defined scope to help you plan. Once the design, materials, and details are confirmed, we provide a formal quote and move into shop drawings for approval.
Do you charge a fee, and what does it cover?
Preliminary budgeting is typically provided at no charge. For design development, site measuring, and shop drawings, we require a retainer. The retainer covers the time needed to engineer the cabinetry properly and coordinate details before production.
What is included in your cabinetry quote, and what is not included?
Our quotes include cabinetry fabrication, finishing, and installation based on the defined scope. Items such as appliances, plumbing fixtures, electrical work, painting, and countertop supply are typically separate unless specifically noted. We will clearly outline inclusions and exclusions so there are no surprises.
What is your typical timeline and lead time?
Timelines vary based on scope, finish, and complexity. Once drawings and selections are approved and the project is released to production, we provide a clear lead time and an install window. We also outline the key decision deadlines required to keep the schedule on track.
Are your cabinets fully custom?
Yes. Our cabinetry is custom built to suit your space and the design intent of the project. This allows us to tailor storage, detailing, and integration with appliances, lighting, and other trades rather than forcing your project into standard sizes.
What does a custom kitchen typically cost?
Our custom kitchen cabinetry projects typically start at $50,000 CAD and up, depending on scope, finishes, and complexity. This reflects the level of craftsmanship, premium materials and hardware, detailed engineering, and professional installation that go into the caliber of work we are known for. If you share your drawings, we can confirm a preliminary budget range early so you can feel confident the project is aligned before moving into detailed design.
What warranty and aftercare do you provide?
We stand behind our work and provide a written warranty as part of your agreement. After installation, we remain available for adjustments and service to ensure everything functions properly and the finished result holds up over time.
